The large contemporary gallery on the ground floor of our main Shoreditch campus on Charlotte road hosts a range of exhibitions throughout the year including the Royal Drawing School's major show in December, The Drawing Year End of Year Exhibition, a showcase of students’ drawings from our postgraduate programme. It also hosts our annual Young Artists Exhibition in September, giving 10-18 year olds who have attended the Young Artists programme an opportunity to show their works to the public.
The gallery also exhibits postgraduate alumni and Royal Drawing School faculty throughout the year including the annual recipient of the Sir Denis Mahon Award every April. The award helps a graduating Drawing Year alumni to continue their artistic practice through funding a studio space for a year, culminating with a solo show in our Shoreditch gallery. This space is also used for open days, evening events and occasional drawing courses.
