Line Managers: 2 Reports: Finance Coordinator, Facilities Manager
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum pro rata
Contract: Permanent, Full-time/Part-time (4 days pw) - depending on right candidate
Location: Royal Drawing School, Charlotte Road, London, EC2A 3SG. (Hybrid working i.e. Combining working in the office and working from home available via our Flexible Working Policy.)
The Royal Drawing School, an independent, not-for-profit charity aims to raise the standard and profile of drawing through teaching and practice. This prestigious School is regarded as the world's leading institution offering in-depth quality observational drawing tuition for adults and children of all ages and abilities. Founded in 2000 by HM King Charles III (then the HRH the Prince of Wales), it now teaches over 3000 students a week in its studios in London, on international residencies and digitally in over 25 countries.
The School is looking to appoint a Head of Finance to drive the school’s financial operations and oversee the finance function. The role of Head of Finance is pivotal to the School and, as an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team and working closely with the Principal and Trustees, will provide financial guidance and effective financial management and running of all the school’s financial operations . The Head of Finance will be responsible for all financial aspects (except for investments) including end to end financial planning and analysis, budgeting, audit activities, and managing the schools operating budget to ensure all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations are complied with.
This role is suitable for someone who has extensive knowledge and recent work experience as a Head of Finance or similar role where they are accustomed to working both strategically and hands on in the day to day requirements of the finance operations. With our flexible working policy this role is open to hybrid home working and open to being Fulltime or Parttime (4 days a week).
