Head of Marketing
Reports to: Principal
Line Manager to: Designer (PT), Communications Editor (PT) and Digital Marketing Coordinator (PT)
Salary: £50,000 per annum (or pro-rata if part time)
Contract: Permanent, FT (5 days) or PT (4 days) depending on candidate
Location: Royal Drawing School, Charlotte Road, London, EC2A 3SG. Opportunity to work from home one day a week via the Flexible working policy.
The Royal Drawing School, an independent, not-for-profit charity aims to raise the standard and profile of drawing through teaching and practice. This prestigious School is regarded as the world's leading institution offering in-depth quality observational drawing tuition for adults and children of all ages and abilities. Founded in 2000 by HM King Charles III (then the HRH the Prince of Wales), it now teaches over 3000 students a week in its studios in London, on international residencies and digitally in over 25 countries.
The School is looking to appoint a Head of Marketing to develop and oversee the Schools’ marketing strategy, including re-developing and strengthening the school brand as it continues to evolve to meet the needs of current and future students and the arts education landscape. The Head of Marketing will develop and deliver strategies that nourish School’s identity and create narrative to foster an inclusive community, build new audiences to meet targets and encourage dialogue around observational drawing on an international stage. This includes the effective leadership and management of the Marketing team to execute agreed marketing plans and campaigns from concept to final impact analysis; working with local teams to embed and monitor marketing strategies, as well as utilising consultant support.
This role would be suitable for someone who has extensive knowledge and previous experience defining and delivering marketing and brand strategy focused on brand impact, influencing, and driving growth and have at least 5 years in house experience leading and managing a highly effective marketing team. This is a hands-on, busy role and while working strategically will also be expected to be involved in the day-to-day delivery. This role is open to being Fulltime or Part-time (4 days a week).
