Julia joined the Royal Drawing School in 2010 and has served on the School’s senior leadership team for over ten years, as Head of Education Management, Marketing & Communications from 2011 to 2014 and Director of Education and Enterprise since 2015. She co-edited Ways of Drawing published by Thames & Hudson (2019) , and is the School’s exhibitions curator. Responsible for building the School’s marketing and comms team, she oversaw and executed the Schools rebrand, website and name change when the Prince’s Drawing School became the Royal Drawing School in 2014; and delivered the School’s vision to expand into West London with new programmes and studios in Kensington Palace, Sydney Close and Oxford Street, growing the Public Programme’s capacity and reach. She is responsible for the delivery of the Public Programme, Drawing Year and Alumni education programmes and diversifying the School’s income through Enterprise projects.
Appointed Acting Director in November 2020, she is responsible for the School’s overall administration, operation and delivery working closely with the School’s Founding Artistic Director to realise the School’s artistic and academic vision.
