Charlotte Edey

Charlotte Edey explores contemporary issues of selfhood through tapestry and embroidery as an extension of her drawing practice. Through a process of world-building, her imagined otherworlds are peppered with symbolist motifs that explore the body politic, magic, the erotic, biracialism and gender. She has presented solo shows at Flowers Gallery and Public Gallery in London. Her work has been included in recent group shows at The Design Museum, Cob Gallery, Rugby Art Museum, Mall Galleries and Mana Contemporary.
