Drawing Club: Royal Drawing School Shoreditch PM Aged 10 - 14
Our Autumn Term is already in progress. Details regarding our Spring 2023 Term will be released in due course.
Drawing Clubs are open to young people aged 10 - 14 who have a passion for drawing and a desire to improve their skills. Taught by professional practicing artists, the weekly class will lead students through a range of observational drawing exercises to create a portfolio of high-quality work.
The large contemporary gallery on the ground floor of our main Shoreditch campus on Charlotte road hosts a range of exhibitions throughout the year including the Royal Drawing School's major show in December, The Drawing Year End of Year Exhibition, a showcase of students’ drawings from our postgraduate programme. It also hosts our annual Young Artists Exhibition, giving 10-18 year olds who have attended the Young Artists programme an opportunity to show their works to the public. The Drawing Club is based here and will also have access to the gallery's changing exhibitions.
During the course of the term students will work from a clothed model, still life set-ups and on occasion work outside. All materials for classes are supplied.
The school is committed to making all courses offered affordable and available to those who have a passion and aptitude for drawing. Therefore we offer a number of 50% and 100% means-tested scholarships for each course. We welcome applications to the Drawing Clubs from all children with a talent and passion for drawing who are able to commit to regular attendance.
If you would like to apply for a scholarship place please complete the application form. You do not need to book separately through the website and we will contact you if we need any further information.
