The psychological power of dress and style forms the basis of this weekly course. Despite lockdown, the isolation and routine, people around us got dressed, and even dressed up - dudes in trim, stylish suits with even a jaunty little hat to complete the picture, in an empty West End. Now there are queues outside shops from Zara to Hermès. Clothing modifies us, presents us to the world, shows which tribe we are in, tells of history, status and aspiration. This is before we even consider film, television, or opera. There, we sit down in a world of make believe, and can have diversion, release, and inspiration. The costume is essential for narrative. We have missed it all, we long to go out, back into the glitter and the lights and – for some, even the crowds.

Back in the studio, drawing clothed models using colour and a variety media, music will play, dancers will dance and once again we can relish the in-person collaboration with our team of models who worked hard and imaginatively for us on Zoom. There will be a variety of poses from all day, to short. Our dancers might move across the room as you all draw!
