Drawing Club: Shoreditch Aged 10 - 14

Drawing Clubs are open to young people aged 10 - 14 who have a passion for drawing and a desire to improve their skills. Taught by professional practicing artists, the weekly class will lead students through a range of observational drawing exercises and introduce a broad range of historic and contemporary artists. Students will be encouraged to make regular use of a sketchbook and build up a high-quality body of work. Drawing in this way encourages close concentration and helps students to develop the ability and confidence to make a personal response to the world.

The Drawing Club is based in our large contemporary gallery space on the ground floor of our Shoreditch campus. As well as the Shoreditch Drawing Club it hosts an ongoing calendar of exhibitions including our annual Young Artists Exhibition in September. Outside of exhibitions it is a large well-lit studio space with access to easels and a range of different art materials. The large space allows us to easily accommodate social distancing measures ensuring the safety of both students and tutors.

During the course of the term students will work from a clothed model, still life set-ups and on occasion work outside.  All materials for classes are supplied.

The school is committed to making all courses offered affordable and available to those who have a passion and aptitude for drawing. Therefore we offer a number of 50% and 100% means-tested scholarships for each course. We welcome applications to the Drawing Clubs from all children with a talent and passion for drawing who are able to commit to regular attendance.

If you would like to apply for a scholarship place please complete the application form. You do not need to book separately through the website and we will contact you if we need any further information.
