Free for London Art Students

The Royal Drawing School offers weekly free drop-in courses for London Arts Students during term time. These evening courses in Life Drawing, Printmaking and Drawing from Art are open to any BA student studying a visual arts-related course including Fine Art, Illustration, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Textiles, Photography and others.


Free Life Drawing for London Art Students

This course gives art students the opportunity for regular life drawing in the studio and is structured to complement the Friday evening free drawing for art students at The National Gallery. Open to full–time registered BA Fine Art or foundation art students. The evening operates on a first-come first-served basis. 

 

Free Etching for London Art Students

Etching is seen as an extension of drawing. This class offers the opportunity for art students to learn and explore various etching techniques. The class is only open to full-time registered BA or foundation art students and is suitable for all levels. Places are limited and the class operates on a first-come first-served basis. Materials are available to purchase at a reduced price.

This course gives London art students the opportunity for free, regular tutored drawing in The National Gallery and is structured to complement the Free Life Drawing for London Art Students in Shoreditch on Monday evenings. With the complementary activities of drawing from life and from paintings, students develop their work further. The meeting point every week will be Room 9.

 

No booking is required for drop-ins and places are first-come-first-serve. Please bring student ID as proof of status when you attend.
