Easter Holiday // Fantastic Folklore // Young Artists (aged 10 -15 years)

Fantastic Folklore!

This imaginative 4-day course will explore classic folktales from around the world to inspire students to create their own tale that they have written and illustrated. From Hans Christian Anderson to Angela Carter, we will see how these stories have managed to captivate people for generations. Through drawing from the model in the studio, students will learn how to create characters that are unusual and compelling, looking at the work of artists including Paula Rego and Nancy Spero.

We will also find inspiration outside of the studio and explore how to create a sense of place and atmosphere in our work. Our approach will be playful and exploratory with each student being encouraged to express their unique artistic voice.

*Please note this course may also include out of house trips and drawing outside.
