This Spring Term (20 January - 28 March) sees the introduction of a number of new courses. Walk the Line: A Drawing Pathway Through London takes inspiration from Iain Sinclair’s London Orbital where the familiar pathways through the city will be walked and drawn. On a Thursday Life Drawing: Human and Animal Anatomy looks at the notion of 'the common ancestor', alternating between human and animal anatomy each week.

New evening courses include; World Imagery: Drawing from Life, Drawing from Art which provides the opportunity for students to gain an insight into cultures and artworks beyond the cannon of Western art through the practise of observational drawing whilst Life Drawing: Immersive Narrative takes inspiration from stories and literature including the Greek myths and Grimms’ Fairy Tales with carefully constructed studio set ups to provide a space for the inventions of the mind to take hold.

Two new 5-week courses have been added to the programme this term; Drawing, Collage and Poetry aims to meet the challenge of our fractured world by exploring various collage processes in the life room whilst The Dynamic Body draws on a combination of Eastern and Western artistic disciplines to investigate the repertoire of the body’s movements. Returning 5-week courses including Mindfulness and Drawing, Drawing: Observation and Imagination and Drawing: Movement and Mind.

Life Drawing continues to take place every day of the week in our Shoreditch studios with both five and ten-week courses and drop-in sessions available. Our Saturday sculpture course allows for a concentrated study of the human head over a number of weeks. In West London courses continue to take place at The London Sketch Club on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
