Please complete the form below, following the instructions given. Applications close 5pm GMT Friday 10 May 2024. Submitted applications will be assessed by a Jury of distinguished artists, curators and art collectors in May 2024. Applications are reviewed by a jury panel according to the following criteria:
• Clarity of artistic vision as articulated in the artist statement and work samples
• Persuasive evidence that the applicant is committed in purpose and practice
• Clear evidence that the artist works at a professional level in their field
• Clear indications of the significance and critical role that the residency will play in the development of the artist's project
• Willingness to work in a rural environment and make the most of the opportunities offered by the residency
We welcome joint residency applications from Drawing Year Alumni, as the residency only has one bedroom and one studio it is nice to share the residency with a fellow alumni who you would like to be in residence with (note there is twin bedroom). We ask that joint applicants both submit their own application form and note in the form below who they would like to attend with.
Please note residency applications will be held on the Royal Drawing School database for one year, after one year applications will be deleted.
If you have any questions regarding the residency or your application please contact: residencies@royaldrawingschool.org
