Alison Harper

Graduate of Glasgow School of Art (1985), known as one of the “Glasgow Girls” was part of the resurgence in figurative painting at that time. Postgrad studies in Oslo (1985–86), Commonwealth Scholarship to Baroda, India (93–95). Exhibitions include: Royal Academy, National Portrait Gallery. Lecturer at GSA for 10 years. Co-founder and Artistic Director (2004-present) The Essential School of Painting, London. Co-author Drawing and Painting: Materials and Techniques by Contemporary Artists. Invited artist at the Royal Scottish Academy 2016
