Biography
My artwork revolves around the kinship between humans and the natural world,
combining representational drawings from life with my imagination and memories of
being in nature. The main element of my practice is printmaking, predominantly intaglio
on copper plates, and in recent years I have embarked on drawing onto copper plates
outdoors directly from the landscape in a bid to capture the magic and aura of a place
and for others I gather inspirational material relating to the natural world such as myth,
folk tales and scientific discoveries which can also act as starting points for prints.
