Joanna Moore read Architecture and History of Art at Cambridge and worked as an architectural historian before completing The Drawing Year, where she received the Patrons’ Prize. Since then she has exhibited in solo and group shows and undertaken illustration commissions. She teaches Art at Secondary level at a SW London school, with a focus on drawing and Art History. After a time away raising her daughter, she is returning to her own practise. Joanna is most happy working from observation and has a passion for recording old buildings, nature and human activity.
