On this evening course we will work with a range of models to explore facial expressions. Students will be introduced to some basic anatomy of the skull to help them consider underlying structure. In the first few weeks we will focus on tone using pencil and charcoal. We will consider a variety of approaches to broaden skills in observation, deepening awareness and responsiveness to the subtleties of form and expression. In the later weeks, students will be encouraged to experiment with ink and brush. Suitable for all levels, including beginners.
