Felicity Allen

Felicity Allen is an artist and author who for a decade ran education departments in the Hayward Gallery and Tate Britain. Emerging from institutional life, she has returned to the studio to work on Apart of the Artworld, a project comprising of 140 watercolour portraits of 70 sitters, with accompanying text from notes made after each sitting and from interviews with the sitters. All of these are individuals attached to contemporary art and its institutions. Allen will discuss her investigation of portraiture and of the art world's changing infrastructure.
