James Hart Dyke

Biography

James Hart Dyke started landscape painting at the age of eight after seeing a small study by John Constable at the Victoria and Albert Museum. He has undertaken many painting expeditions across remote landscapes including the Himalayas and Atlas Mountains. HRH The Prince of Wales has invited James on four foreign royal tours. He painted the landscapes and scenes of the countries they visited. Other projects have included painting in war zones, embedded with the British Army, working with the producers of the James Bond films, and in 2009 he was invited to make a series of paintings for the British Secret Intelligence Service to mark their centenary. The resulting exhibition A year with MI6 attracted world wide media coverage, including items on the BBC national news, CNN and an interview with Mark Lawson on BBC Radio 4.James studied at the Royal College of Art, Manchester University and The City and Guilds of London Art School. He is represented by John Mitchell Fine Paintings, Bond Street, London.
