Tom Lubbock

Writing in The Independent week after week, Tom Lubbock has published some of the liveliest art criticism of recent years. Opinionated, sometimes curmudgeonly, he engages with the whole range of ancient and modern, especially in his brilliant series of "GREAT WORKS" at the back of the newspaper. His essay on Goya's album drawings, published in the Hayward Gallery's exhibition catalogue in 2001, is outstanding.
