Drawing Club: National Gallery PM Aged 10 - 14

Drawing Clubs are open to young people aged 10 - 14 (those in school years 5 - 9) who have a passion for drawing and a desire to improve their skills. Taught by professional practicing artists, the weekly class will lead students through a range of observational drawing exercises to create a portfolio of high-quality work.

At the National Gallery the Drawing Club will have access to the National Gallery’s amazing collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the 13th to the 19th centuries.

During the course of the term students will draw from the National Gallery collection as well as from clothed models and on occasion work outside.  All materials for classes are supplied.

Please note: The Young Artists will be working in the public galleries for the duration of the course. All Young Artists aged 13 and under, who wish to attend this course, must be dropped off and collected by an adult as per the National Gallery's Safeguarding Policy.

The school is committed to making all courses offered affordable and available to those who have a passion and aptitude for drawing. Therefore we offer a number of 50% and 100% means-tested scholarships for each course. We welcome applications to the Drawing Clubs from all children with a talent and passion for drawing who are able to commit to regular attendance.

If you would like to apply for a scholarship place please complete the application form. You do not need to book separately through the website and we will contact you if we need any further information.
