Drawing Clubs are open to young people aged 10 - 14 (school years P6 – S3) who have a passion for drawing and would like to explore different ways of making art. This free course is open to all abilities and aims to provide creative and fun environment for young artists improve their drawing skills and build their confidence.

Taught by professional practicing artists, the weekly class will lead students through a range of observational and imaginative drawing exercises to create a portfolio of high-quality work. Students will be introduced to range of mediums from pencil, charcoal, and watercolour to acrylic paint, collage and 3D paper and clay modelling. During the course of the term students will also work from clothed models, still life set-ups and on occasion work outside and work collaboratively with the other young artists in the group.

This Drawing Club is a hybrid course with some sessions taking place at New Cumnock Town Hall in the heart of New Cumnock, and others taught online via Zoom.
